Medicare Benefits Made Easy
Medicare is divided into Parts A, B, C and D
Offered by the Federal Government:
Medicare parts A & B together make up Original Medicare. Original Medicare covers much of the medical care you need, but not all of it. Many people with Medicare Parts A & B choose to purchase separate supplemental insurance, often called "Medigap" policies, to cover costs Medicare does not pay.
Medicare Part A
Part A helps cover your care when you're admitted to a hospital or skilled nursing facility. It also helps cover hospice care and home health care.
Medicare Part B
Part B helps cover doctor's visits and outpatient care. It also helps pay for services Part A doesn't cover like some occupational and physical therapy services and some home health care. Part B also covers some preventative services and some medications.
